TERMS & CONDITIONS – TOOS TAXI (toos.taxi)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TOOS Taxi mobile application, website (toos.taxi), and related services (“Services”). By accessing or using TOOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
1. Definitions
- “TOOS”, “we”, “us”, “our”refers to TOOS Taxi Technologies and its affiliates.
- “User”, “you”, “your”refers to any person using the TOOS platform.
- “Driver”refers to an independent contractor providing transportation services through TOOS.
- “Ride”refers to transportation services booked through the TOOS platform.
2. Nature of the Service
TOOS is a ride‑sharing and ride‑hailing platform that connects passengers with independent drivers.
TOOS does not own vehicles, employ drivers,or provide transportation services directly.
Drivers operate as independent contractors, responsible for their own licensing, insurance, and compliance with local laws.
3. User Eligibility
To use TOOS, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate registration information
- Maintain a valid payment method
- Comply with all applicable laws
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Account Registration
Users must create an account using accurate personal information.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining confidentiality of your login details
- All activity under your account
- Updating your information when necessary
TOOS is not liable for unauthorized account access resulting from your negligence.
5. Booking a Ride
When you request a ride:
- You agree to pay the fare displayed in the app
- You must be available at the pickup location
- You must behave respectfully toward the driver
Drivers may refuse service if you appear unsafe, abusive, or violate local laws.
6. Payments & Fees
- All payments are processed electronically through the TOOS platform.
- Fares may include base fare, distance/time charges, taxes, tolls, and surge pricing.
- You authorize TOOS to charge your selected payment method upon ride completion.
Unpaid balances may result in account suspension.
7. Cancellations
- Users may cancel a ride before the driver arrives.
- Cancellation fees may apply depending on timing and driver proximity.
- Repeated cancellations may lead to account restrictions.
8. Driver Responsibilities
Drivers must:
- Hold valid driving licenses and insurance
- Maintain roadworthy vehicles
- Comply with all transport regulations
- Treat passengers with respect
- Not engage in unsafe, illegal, or discriminatory behavior
TOOS may deactivate drivers who violate these standards.
9. User Conduct
Users must not:
- Harass, threaten, or harm drivers
- Damage vehicles
- Carry illegal substances or weapons
- Use the platform for fraudulent activity
Violations may result in permanent account removal.
10. Safety
TOOS prioritizes safety but cannot guarantee it.
Users acknowledge that:
- Drivers are independent contractors
- Travel involves inherent risks
- TOOS is not responsible for accidents, delays, or incidents caused by drivers or third parties
In emergencies, contact local authorities immediately.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- TOOS is not liable for personal injury, property damage, lost items, or financial losses arising from ride services.
- TOOS is not responsible for driver actions, negligence, or misconduct.
- TOOS provides the platform “as is” without warranties of any kind.
12. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy available at toos.taxi/privacy.
By using the platform, you consent to data collection and processing necessary to deliver the Services.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the TOOS platform—including logos, software, text, and graphics—is owned by TOOS and protected by intellectual property laws.
Users may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
14. Termination
TOOS may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraud or illegal activity
- Abuse drivers or misuse the platform
You may delete your account at any time through the app.
15. Changes to Terms
TOOS may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Federal States of Ethiopia or any Country that Toos operates
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Somali Region of Ethiopia or any Country that Toos Operates.
